How to Confirm VOCP and Verify Your Mentor on the Clinical Tab

This article explains how to verify that your mentor (and related verification) is confirmed on the Clinical tab of the Teach-Now platform and how to complete the Verification of Clinical Practice (VOCP) process.


How do I verify my mentor and submit the VOCP from the Clinical tab?

  1. Sign in to the Teach-Now platform and navigate to the Clinical section by clicking the Clinical button.
  2. On the Clinical page, locate the mentor information. Immediately after the mentor information you will see the VOCP section.
  3. In that section click the Confirm the Verification of Clinical Practice button to submit your candidate verification.
    • Candidates must complete this confirmation first. Mentors do not have access to VOCP or the Payment Request until the candidate confirms first.

What does the mentor need to do after the candidate confirms the VOCP?

  • After the candidate confirms the VOCP, notify your mentor so they can sign and submit their portion on the platform.
  • The mentor will log in one last time and look for an orange VOCP button (located in the middle of their page near the bottom) to complete and submit the VOCP.
  • All four mentor observation evaluations must be completed by the mentor before they are able to access or submit the VOCP.

How does mentor payment and remittance work?

  • Once the VOCP is completed, mentors can fill out the remittance request form to request payment.
  • Payment processing can take about one to two months; timing depends on when the remittance form is submitted (examples: a form submitted in June typically leads to payment at the end of July; a form submitted in November typically leads to payment at the end of December).

What should I expect after completing the program?

  • After you finish the program fully, expect about a week for final grades, GPA calculation, and candidate profile review to be completed before being marked as a program completer.
  • If there are outstanding items you need to complete, you will be notified by email. Once everything is completed, you will receive a Program Completion email with next steps (transcripts, diplomas, etc.).

What should I do if I encounter issues with the VOCP process?

  • Confirm you pressed the Confirm the Verification of Clinical Practice button in the Clinical tab immediately after the mentor information.
  • If your mentor cannot access VOCP, ensure you (the candidate) have completed your confirmation first and that the mentor has completed all four observation evaluations.
  • Remind your mentor to look for the orange VOCP button on their page to e-sign and submit.
