How to Check and Register for At-Home (Virtual) Praxis Exams
This article explains how to determine whether you can take Praxis exams remotely (at home with virtual proctoring) and how to register when remote testing is available for your location.
Review the at-home testing requirements on the Praxis website here.
Can I take the Praxis at home (remote-proctored)?
- Remote (virtual) testing availability is location-dependent. You must reside in the US, or, if you are living abroad, have an ID that shows a US address. Your registration must match the ID. If virtual testing is available in your area, you can select it during registration.
How to check and register for a remote (virtual) Praxis exam
- Begin the standard Praxis exam registration process through the registration portal.
- During registration, you will be shown the test delivery options available at your location.
- If virtual (at-home) proctored testing is available where you are located, the registration flow will present a “virtual” option. Select that option to register for the at-home exam.
Notes and tips
- Availability is determined by your location; not all locations will show a virtual option.
- The registration process is the authoritative way to confirm whether remote testing is available to you.
