Apply and Enroll in M.Ed. Add-On Program

  • Most of our M.Ed. specializations are offered as an add-on master’s for Teach-Now graduates (or current candidates) and consist of 4 additional master’s modules focused on the selected track. Applying is free and is done through the student learning platform.
  • Please note the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership Program & the M.Ed. in Globalization and Educational Research are two standalone M.Ed. programs that are not offered as a 4-module add-on.

Enrollment procedures

  1. Log in to the student learning platform.
  2. The orange Apply for Masters button appears at the bottom left side of the page (under all of the page links)
  3. Click the Apply for Masters button and answer the brief application questions.
  4. After submitting the application, an Admissions representative will contact you to complete enrollment steps.

Program structure and timing

  • The add-on master’s consists of 4 master’s-specific modules (in addition to the 8 Teach-Now modules), producing a combined total of 12 modules and 39 graduate credit hours when taken together with the Teach-Now certification.
  • The combined timeline is approximately 12 months: 9 months for the teacher preparation certification (Modules 1–8) plus 4 months for the M.Ed. coursework.
  • You may begin the master’s modules immediately after completing the certification or pause and start later; there is flexibility to wait before beginning the master’s phase.
  • Master’s modules typically start near the end of each month.
  • Cohort video conferences for the master’s modules are typically scheduled on Saturdays or Mondays.

Academic requirements and format

  • The master’s add-on is delivered as coursework (module- and course-based); there is no thesis requirement for the program.
  • The master’s add-on provides specialized modules; specific to the available tracks:

    • M.Ed. in Educational Technology
    • M.Ed. in Educational Research
    • M.Ed. in Special Education
    • M.Ed. in Teaching Multilingual Learners

  • The add-on master’s tuition is an additional $7,500.
